mannish boy

I finally completed the compost box I've been scheming and dreaming for months now.

Now I know that this has nothing to do with Brixton other than the fact that he's being composted but I need to ramble on about something right?

  $8 for the wire
  $5 for the hardware
$0 for the wood (broken down from pallets at work that would otherwise be thrown out)

Brixton has been crawling and is now walking along shelves and couches but balancing himself by holding onto things.
He falls a lot on his butt and doesn't need to be watched as much as before now.
He says "Hi" in the morning when he wakes up in the crib, says "da-da-da-da-da-da" over and over.

finally an update

Sorry for the wait everyone, we've been busy as you can imagine.

This weekend I drove drove down to Medford, New Jersey with Brixton and my mother (Lisa) to introduce Brixton to his great grandparents Grayce & Hiroshi Uyehara.

brixton in our flower garden

brixton's four month check up confirmed that he is a very, very strong baby.  the pediatrician told us he is doing things she would expect from a six month old.  he is a little less than fifteen pounds now and can roll over and hold his feet, among other things.

and their roots as primitive animals

So for any of you web-illiterate people reading this, if you click on any of the pictures they will enlarge to a pretty decent size.
I wouldn't suggest printing these since they're web based 72 pixels/inch files, just an FYI.

My father and I built this crib out of extra wood from other
projects and some new lumber. We ordered the hardware
and schematics from the internet. It has a buffered wax
finish on it to preserve the wood.

I've been posting from Safari & Firefox on my Mac but for some reason I don't think the coding is translating properly to everyone's browsers.

IF YOU ARE SEEING ANY TEXT/IMAGE/FORMATTING ISSUES, please let me know so I can fix it. xoxo

take a giant step outside of your mind

Dear Mom and Dad,
I'm going to start screaming a lot more and pee on your
comforter.
Love,
Brixton

Mary & Alexi (NYC) and Danielle (roommate) got Brixton some friends—awww

This crib bumper was made out of recycled linens. Crafted from an old comforter and other fabrics by Judy W.

Wow.

My mother Lisa made this vegetarian inspired eggplant hat for Brixton.

Rachael R. made this bunting (bottom is sewn shut) out of washable wool.
